Attorney Biography

Nahla Kamaluddin, Esq. is an attorney, former law professor, and the founder of Kamaluddin Law Firm. She has extensive experience in the fields of immigration law, crypto and blockchain law, as well as business and corporate law.

As an immigrant, entrepreneur, and crypto token owner herself, she is passionate about providing the best representation possible to entrepreneurs, business owners and investors, and crypto/blockchain businesses. 

A native of Bahrain, she moved to the United States in 2012 to pursue her legal education and career. She graduated from University of Pittsburgh's School of Law with both an LLM in International Law (Masters Degree) and a Juris Doctor in 2016. She received an Outstanding Achievement Award from her law school for excelling in her classes. She was enrolled in the law school's immigration clinic for two years, where she developed her knowledge and passion for immigration law.

Following her graduation from law school, she was selected as a fellow and later began working as a supervising attorney at the University of Pittsburgh School of Law's Immigration Law Clinic. In her role at the clinic, she helped teach immigration law clinic classes and supervised second and third year law students in providing legal representation to low income immigrants. She successfully handled a variety of cases including asylum, family-based immigration, VAWA, U Visa, Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, DACA, Humanitarian Parole, BIA and federal court appeals. She also represented non detained immigrants in immigration court, defending them from deportation. She was involved in several immigrant rights policy advocacy projects, including representing prominent national nonprofit organization in federal lawsuits defending immigrant rights. 

Attorney Kamaluddin has always had a particular interest in cryptocurrency and blockchain technology law, and has provided legal, regulatory, licensing and compliance advice and services to several cryptocurrency token projects to help ensure their success and protect them from any potential liability.
