LizMary Mejia Julio is Of Counsel at Kamaluddin Law, where she represents clients in immigration matters and criminal defense cases across Pennsylvania. She brings a rare combination of experience as both a former Assistant District Attorney in Philadelphia and a dedicated immigration advocate, giving her a unique perspective on how criminal and immigration systems intersect.

LizMary earned her J.D. from the University of the District of Columbia David A. Clarke School of Law and completed extensive externships with the Colorado State Public Defender’s Office and the Public Defender Service in Washington, D.C. Her background includes prosecuting serious felony cases—firearms, narcotics, assaults, robberies, and attempted homicides—allowing her to assess cases strategically, negotiate effectively, and litigate with confidence.

In addition to her criminal law experience, LizMary has a long-standing commitment to immigrant communities. She has volunteered at the Tijuana border, worked with the Central American Resource Center in Washington, D.C., and represented asylum seekers, permanent residents, and noncitizens before asylum officers and immigration judges.
